Version 5.9.6 of PLplot is now available. Improvements since 5.9.5
include making PLplot aware of LC_NUMERIC locale, linear gradients, a
cairo windows driver, custom axis labeling, universal coordinate
transforms and support for arbitrary storage of 2D user data,
