I took a few minutes this morning and converted the FAQ to SGML, and committed it to ./docs/FAQ.sgml. This gives us a few advantages over the previous stock text FAQ in the top-level directory at a maintenance level. Now we can convert the FAQ to any format we want (as long as the DTD exists, of course). What I originally needed it for was to dump it to HTML so I could slap it on the website dynamically when new additions are made (i.e. click on FAQ, faq is checked out from CVS, converted, displayed). But now with the new design I'm working on, the FAQ can now be easily converted to a pdb for download as well. It adds a very nice level of customization for the users who want to download the critical parts of the Plucker website onto their Palm. The file is incredibly well-commented, and SGML is easier than HTML to write, so anyone with commit access can continue to modify this file with the stock Linux/Windows tools available (editor + docbook stylesheets). Alright.. back to working on a useful article layout, and getting Mike's beta drop directory viewed from the website for downloads. If anyone has suggestions while I'm working on this new site design (Robet has seen the "face" already), let me know. I'm trying to make it lean and fast, but the new site is centuries more professional looking than the current site, at the moment. d. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE85oO3kRQERnB1rkoRAu3QAJ9NhU+gNPfBAvjvl/lxU1+OXixYPgCfUtiK 62m77tiVeS0J57Skmc1b1g4= =Uuv1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
