Try using server-side caching as well. Changing TTLs could help, but
you'd have to arrange with your provider on what is the acceptable

The /etc/group file has backup and tape groups that you can assign to
users who will have backup privileges.

Yes, reiserfs is supported, the howto is about converting an ext3 partition
to reiserfs that is if you even bothered to read the url I suggested. :D
