I use ffmpeg for the encoding. [If you're on Ubuntu, use the Medibuntu repository for additional codecs]. vcodec is H264 acodec is AAC here's the command line: ffmpeg -y -threads 4 -i 'input.vob' -s 320x240 -r 29.97 -vcodec h264 -g 300 -aspect 320:240 -qmin 27 -b 400 -level 13 -loop 1 -sc_

Does it have to be DVD Video? Why not use .avi files instead? As even the cheap DVD players you can buy in Quiapo can play this type of file. A 1-hour Standard Definition NTSC .avi video (480p?) is about 300MB, so you can easily cram 14 hours into a DVD disc without sacrificing the video and
