HDD/(or in RAID) and RAM are the usual culprits.
can you also send the exact kernel panic message to the list.

first check ur coredump size.
#ulimit -a
set it to unlimited if it's not
#ulimit -c unlimited
then you can use gdb to generate a core dump of your application.

i usually check if the hard disk is broken or the memory(RAM) might have
been shaken loose. Try to check your hardware first. But that's my limited
experience only.
