I'm talking about the analog phone line into the house. The slow
deterioration is of the quality of the DSL connection (perhaps measured in
effective data rate). Nothing to do with power lines, circuit breakers or
any of that stuff; sorry for the confusion.

A friend of mine, Ira Erbs teaches at N. Clackamas school district.
He needs help persuading his principle not to cut his Linux class next
year! She's making the decision soon.

Years ago I had issues with Verizon and the Fujitsu DSL bridge. That was
resolved a long time ago.
