Your hesitation is well justified. The SlackBuilds.org repo has two packages
with 'tnef' in their name:
"perl-Convert-TNEF is a perl module to read TNEF files.
This is required for amavisd-new package."

to kill the LO process because all that was displayed was a bunch of junk
characters.
Has anyone here found a way to translate .msg files?
