Its not a Ubuntu/Canonical issue we ship the source package for those fonts
as is so if their is a issue its upstream but you can file a bug and we
will look into it.

You can use the newer nvidia ppa that the Ubuntu Desktop Team has for Steam
that should bump you to the latest. The ppa name slips my mind.

things the current images will allow a offline upgrade from later versions

and I checked a earlier version of FF and still not able to

CTL makes a Netbook that runs Ubuntu 11.10 out of the box and you could
also buy a Dell Mini and just install your favorite Distro? I know
Ubuntu runs fine on most of the mini's my fiancee and my best friend's
