i actually tried this over a year ago and it worked for me, even though
i don't use qwest.net or msn (i run spiretech, so i'm my own isp :-).
all it wanted was the dsl phone number and the account code (i think).
but i only used it once just to test. i haven't ever really needed it,

physical DSL line service.
So Spiritone customers would not be eligible.
