I learned some thing new (to me, anyway). There's more than one mute. When this problem appeared I checked on a mixer tool and all appropriate channels were not muted. Anyway, I was getting sound from other programs, so mute didn't seem to be the problem. Today I needed to listen to several audio files, and Movie Player is the fastest way to do it. But I didn't think it was working, so I downloaded VLC Media Player, and tried listening to the files with it. The mute function is more obvious on VLC Media Player than on Movie Player, so I un-muted it. That worked. But it also made me wonder if Movie Player was muted before. So I tried it again and it works, which really means that it worked all along, and I just didn't recognize that it was muted. Anyway, problem solved. -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list PLUG@lists.pdxlinux.org http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
