I brought this up before, but now I have more information. Well, I had it then, but didn't notice it.
When I get an email from PLUG, the To: address is not my address but plug@lists.pdxlinux.org. According to what I've read about replying at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Multiple_identities_per_e-mail_account, Thunderbird is supposed to use the default From: address when it doesn't recognize the To: address. What it does instead is to use the first account in the list of accounts as the From: address. I notice the problem when I don't see my signature block, since I don't have a signature block for the first account in the list. I can always change the From in the composition window for the reply, which is what I've been doing for at least a couple of years. Now that I see that the problem is related to the original message's To address, I'm hoping to find a solution. There appear to be several different solutions referenced on that mozillazine site. What isn't clear is which one to use. Folder Account, from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/folder-account/, looks like it might be the thing I need. Has anyone else encountered this problem? What solution works for you? -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list PLUG@lists.pdxlinux.org http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
