It depends on how this remote directory is exported. If it is NFS-exported
then check the mount(8) manual page for the options for mounting

Thank for the inputs noel! I got Berkeley and SquidGuard both installed
successfully the problem is, I cant seem to redirect my squid to use
squidguard. How can I test it, just to make sure its workin?

use db-2.7.7 version, according to the FAQ of SquidGuard BErkeleyDB v3.1.17 and
up(4.0.14) will not work. i did experienced that too. check the FAQ below.
