I've use Cinelerra to create DVD's, and so if you are having troubles
with it you can ask me. It is a very large program, and it will
reprocess all of the video, but it does work. The newest version 1.2.2
is the most stable.

of Scenarist. Lots of encoding software that's good too. TMPEGEnc DVD

I haven't tried it with a ripped DVD per se, but with other various
mpegs, I've used "MainActor" and it's worked wonderfully. You have to
buy it, but it works.

Incredibles" tonight. This week I've tried the latest avidemux2 and
gopdit from sources. Neither worked for me editing mpeg's ripped from
a DVD (avidemux2 was closest, and it lost video/audio sync after any
edit).

its just a write-cache on the disk. nicholas may have been thinking that if
there was a power failure, then the cache may not have been sync'd with the
disk. not sure about SATA, but i'm not aware of anay ATA
