Alright, I solved this today, digging through year-old archives on
another mailling list.
The solution is to replace the .qmail-default for the domain in
question. Here's what I'm using:
|/usr/bin/dspam --mode=tum --deliver=innocent,spam \
--feature=chained,noise --user [EMAIL PROTECTED] --stdo
Got a little more information: procmail is exiting with status 73 when
called from dspam, which according to google means: can't create user
output file.
Trying to track down why currently. Wish me luck. :)

Alright, I give up. I'm trying to get DSPAM installed on my
vpopmail/qmail setup for better spam filtering, and I can't for the life
of me get it to work. I've tried a bunch of different walkthroughs, and
they all recommend a .qmail file like this (for user '[EMAIL PROTECTED]',
a virtual user):
