Yes 9 gigs is correct.
It's possible that he didn't get the box version of the dvd. Does he
have the live version? That fits on a single dvd. Or he striped out
the 64 bit stuff.

Forgive my ignorance, but just to make sure... You have a 9 gig iso? I
got the DVD iso from a friend at work, but it fits on a standard single
layer DVD, so it's nowhere near that size.

I am using cds cause I don't have a dvd drive in the machine in
question. I could install one if needed. What difference does it make,
other than having to swap the cds in and out?

if you are using the dvd (highly recommended) then you should be ok
if you don't have the dvd, I'd be willing to help you install it from
the iso that I have. I can't afford dual-layer dvds these days.

I'm trying to set up a Postfix server on Suse 9.3. However, for some
reason smtp is only visible on the local machine. When I run nmap from
the Suse 9.3 machine port 25 is listed. However, when I run nmap on
another machine, port 25 does NOT show up.
Any ideas?
