Post screen is your bios. No drivers or os just a power On self test (post)
to see if the card is sending anything to the display.
The use of a live CD was to see if it was an OS config issue or not. I
have had interesting moments where I had to define my displays in detail
before x would work. N
only have one graphics card. What do you mean when you say 'post screen' or
running it with a live CD? I am connecting it to already running puters.

cards and if you are over x the new displays will just never show. If there
are only 2 total then it should be ok. Do you get a post screen and have
you tried a live CD to see if they show?

The basic rule is if you don't use a service uninstall it. If you use it
and don't want others having their way with it firewall it. If you have a
gateway device that would be a firewall.

My question is. why? I've runlinux since '98 w/o a firewall (aside from
the one sent with my modem/router). Isn't that good enough?
