When I use Kodi I usually just use the app on my phone as the remote.
Cheap, easy to use, and I don't need an extra remote lying around to try
and find. Plus it locks so even if some wanted to change the channel
they'd either have to get up or know how to unlock my phone.

While we're kinda on the subject of kodi, has anyone gotten an Amazon prime
plug-in to work? I've tried a few with little success in getting video to play

Just wondering if others have issues with chrome/chromium under linux

I have recently started migrating back to Firefox. Chrome memory
utilization has become absurd.

I have not had problems running Mint as the OS. Maybe the fault lies with

If your chrome is actually hitting your ulimits then something is wrong.
Have you done some troubleshooting to track it down? E.g. lsof+ps+strace?

Hi all,
I need to get some longethernet cabling for my home network(around 35ft). I
currently have a gigabit switchwant to ensure that the cable can accommodate
gigabit ethernet speed. For the machines that are hard wired, I currently use
cat 5e. Looking on NewEgg I see cat 5e and cat 6
but I'm not the one to ask!

Cat5e will most likely work for you. 35ft is not that long per the
specification. Cat6 has plastic dividers between the twisted pairs. If its
only 1 cable, you can spring for cat6, but if you are running many cables,
I'd save money and go Cat5e.
