I think what you want is essentially a usb hub to network to usb hub in the middle, or some middleware. Not sure this exists out of box. Doing some quick googling, as I know usb-to-network protocols exist, seems there are a few options. This shows a company selling software to do this, or also

I rather like using Arch linux with rolling updates, and have now about 5 years. It's not always without its pain, but mostly is great to use daily. Usually after using it for a while, installing a lot of various software outside base repos, and then updating for me has been problematic.
