Michael I think has a rather close concept with it. You can get an rpii
with a poe hat and with a couple of packages you have a network controlled
sound or video device. With all sorts of options.

I think what you want is essentially a usb hub to network to usb hub in the
middle, or some middleware. Not sure this exists out of box.
Doing some quick googling, as I know usb-to-network protocols exist, seems
there are a few options. This shows a company selling software to do this,

Thanks, but this is not what I’m looking for.
“A/V over ethernet” not an “HDMI extender”.
Dante from Audinate makes stuff that does this, but it’s proprietary and rather
expensive.

You may want to also check out "yay", a package manager for search and
choosing options. Try to stick with base packages vs. aur where you can.

There is also tkPacman, a gui for searching base repos which might be
Why would you want to compile it? Just use the package.

Hey Mr Butash,
Could you walk me through compiling Gimp or Darktable. After we do that I
may be able to compile the other on my own. The Arch page is just giving

I rather like using Arch linux with rolling updates, and have now about 5
years. It's not always without its pain, but mostly is great to use daily.
Usually after using it for a while, installing a lot of various software
outside base repos, and then updating for me has been problematic.
I wish I would have learned about Arch Linux when I first got into Linux.
My current computer took 30 seconds to load from when it first starts
loading to GUI while arch takes about 22 seconds. Further I would have
learned about compiling the applications. It will be difficult now because
