AirSpy can be started as a system service. I use the USB cheap dongles (2 of them, with one having a built-in downconverter). I don’t use any transmitter for this, strictly receive. Btw, there is an AirSpy mailing list as well as an RTL/SDR mailing list among several others. For what I do here,
