Did you try Fedora Core 6 or Fedora 7? Linux Mint (an Ubuntu derivative)

The first is a 19" computer cabinet. I haven't measured, but my guess is
that it's about 24U.
I also have some very old computer equipment. A VAX 11/730 with an
external magnetic tape drive, lots and lots of disc
If your only problem is getting an ip address, Fedora Core uses
dhclient (assuming you have dhcp on your network) to get one. Try

I finally got a distro to install on my new Dell 1520.
Fedora Core 5
I am trying to get the LAN settings to work so I can get (via download
probably by package manager) the other drivers to function: Audio, WLAN,
NVIDIA graphics card, etc.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
