They are both very good IM clients with more features than any reasonable person could use. They also have a remarkably similar feature set. I've used both pretty extensively but keep coming back to Kopete. Why? Because for my purposes, each has one advantage over the other: o Pidgin hand

are you running mod_perl or perl cgi? 1) make sure that perl is running from the CL. 2) test your script from the CL. 3) make sure that the .pl extension is set to execute the script (which should be in the apache directives ). 4) double check you followed all the instructions correctly :

Apache just isn't configured to catch .pl extensions and translate them through the Perl interpreter. I haven't actually done this work (aside from installing mod_perl, making sure the module is loaded and making sure .pl is interpreted) so that's the best I can do right now. Just to test the scri
