For reasons I don't want to go into, I need to rewrite all references to

Ooooh yes I was inflicted with this last month or so.
I think it shows an equally bad attitude from web guy as from the rest of his
teammates, but you kinda wish you could get away with acting like that... it's
like watching Beavis Butthead.

I will tell Randy and the students here that the Stammtisch is now the

I use Gmail with IMAP access and use GMail's SMTP for outgoing messages.
Works fine for me on Cox. Thunderbird client.

Hi Jamie,
Yes, this the very first class. We are an official Red Hat Academy with

My notebook gets ridiculously hot. I cut some holes in my desk to get
some air circulating under it. I'd like to attach a few small fans to
move a little more air, and some fans from a PC case seem ideal for both
size and noise reasons.

I can not get this working through Tomcat with Apache2. It looks like I
am going to have to write a servlet filter for this; or rather, my
developer will.

For those who are interested, The Red Hat Academy at Estrella is great.
You can't find a better instructor than Randy. He really cares about his
students. I have taken a few classes with Randy and he is one of the best
instructors I have ever had.
You will not go wrong by taking a class over
Cool, I hadn't tried to setup GMail for the SMTP server (GAfYD doesn't support
the features I need yet), so I wasn't aware it uses a port other than 25 for
access. Looks like Alan can just set the GMail emails to go out via GMail's
SMTP server and it'll fix the issue he's seeing...

Bryan, you may have to write a custom handler in mod_perl. Being that you
are intercepting Tomcat requests, you may have to specify what phase you
want to modify. btw- are you using httpd 1 or 2? -jmz
