Dictionary used depends on which way you want to translate, sorry
install dict-freedict-spa-eng
and use -d fd-spa-eng for spanish to english translations

virtualization is a good way to go, but if you want to just run a few
apps and you cannot afford a windows install wine is about your only
shot.. its really well developed.
i personally dual boot, and i use bios to swap my drives which is a
little cumbersome but it keeps Vista and Linux form farti

I did a reinstall of Intrepid once it went gold, and sound "worked".

background hiss out the headphones. I'm starting to wonder if OSS4

During the beta-test process for Intrepid, the drivers for Intel sound
on my lappy broke *bigtime*. Weird errors, like when you plug
headphones in the sound would fade out over a period of about 10
seconds, and then vanish no matter what
speakers/headphone/
Thanks everyone!! Looked at Intel's drivers and decided I would just go with
Sound Blasters Audigy sound card and be done with it.
