network via Network Manager? Firefox, I have seen, sometimes has trouble
connecting when ifup/down is used instead of NM.

XBMC has no recording capability. There is work ongoing that will allow
XBMC to drive a MythTV back end.

hour rather than 10 gigs per hour. I do sacrifice a very small amount
of quality, but it's better than having a hand full of shows completely
