I was reading on computers and phones having multiple cores and programming for
multiple cores - http://www.linux-mag.com/id/8274/ . The 2nd to the last
paragraph starts with "If you write software, you should be paying close
attention to this trend.".

Yeah, I saw their website last weekend; my daughter saw a billboard
here in town advertising their site. All jobs are in Texas and I
ain't selling my house here in Tempe in this horrible housing market!
It didn't sound like they would entertain telecommuting. Although
maybe I should call someone
I hear housing in Texas is very affordable. Also the cost of living is lower
from what I hear.
Not trying to get you to move. Just sharing what I have heard.

Yeah, Austin would be a nice place; they have a university (U of
Texas) and universities generally contribute to a good scale of living
and culture.
I just might look back there and maybe give them a call; wanna be sure
my limitted experience in PERL, etc. can get me in the door.

I think they have a lot of tech support jobs. Not something I would move for
if they are anything like GoDaddy tech support.

"In Texas" != "In Austin, TX". Austin's a reasonably big city, and really
cheap houses are all far out in the surrounding suburbs or

I'll ask a coworker tomorrow about the premium healthcare package he went
with. He's asian and extremely statistical. I went with the HSA version.
