Since Andriod tablets have become so cheap lately (Pandigital for $29.99 plus
$4.99 shipping) I would like to see if it is possible to re-purpose one to do

would be possible to reconfig an Android tablet to NOT have a
I know usb and bluetooth device support was added as of gingerbread,
wich is 2.3 so if your device is at least that current you will get
that functionality.

Yes, but does it recognize the keyboard as a keyboard?
My LG G2x will pair with a wireless keyboard, but won't take keystrokes from it.

Sorry for the confusion - I sent a message to both the plug-discuss
and plug-devel lists
we had a good group and a good discussion - and a little detective work too
The next PLUGdev meeting has a presentation by Lisa on Puppet, so it

50% off the normal prices for O'Reilly and NoStartch books brings them
close enough to where I think the pricing should be, so I got several

It is possible to kiosk an android device, and it doesn't require a special
build.
The application must be an Android application, and must implement a certain
interface. Basically, you just replace the application that provides the home

I love O'Reilly book deals. Get an account through safari books and any

available.
What does everyone think about the new announcement from Barns Noble to

boy am I lucky I didn't run out of room. okay I need to rsync two
/home directories. The thing is the two directories are named differently
at the top. one is /home/x and one is /home/y I want everything under x to
look like y. I looked in the man page and I thought I found something but
I just thought of something the only thing different about the two is the
last digit. say xyz1 and xyz2. Could I do something like '
rsync -aHv user1@address1:/home/xyz*/ /home/xy*
user2@address2/home/xyz*
