I will be teaching the PVCC class in the spring and there is always or
permission of instructor, which is not hard to get if you have a decent
*nix background. The big problem is getting enough students that the
class will make. It's a fun class.
Actually, I found out about the mailing list through Mark after taking one
of his classes on Unix/Linux a couple of summers ago. :-)

It's likely that you can get an override by talking to the instructor.

Try Gateway Community College. I took a Debian Class there.
If you can get to Estrella Community College they have a super program
at the Red Hat Academy. They have good teachers.
