I have a spare IDE laptop drive right now, but no optical for laptop. however there is a unetbootin (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/) project that will turn a thumb drive into any number of Linux install sources from ISO or directly from the internet.

Hi Tim, Sorry to hear about your situation.  What I can offer is that Godaddy is always looking for tech support.  Worked there a while back for about a year.  Was interesting and they did not treat their tech support folks very good back then.  I have a developer friend that works at Godaddy

I have applied for several positions at GD and been trumped by inside movers. Or just never contacted. The market is hard rite now - I have been looking for a year and a half without any luck - two degrees, a half dozen certs, and 15 years of experience and I can't find a thing. So I understand.
