hw and sw xen

moin moin, a software install of xen requires special xen kernels. Do those same kernels work when running on a hardware install of xen? Do they run on hardware without being on a Dom0? In talking to one of my co-workers about the RHCE study classes we thought of using xen for them in addition

I'm not sure about xen. I am using VmWare for the study group only because I have been using it forever. How I think fro something like what you are talking about something like virtual box may work. I find that seeing my VM's in a separate window instead of seamlessly with my main system gives me
