Hi,
Has anyone successfully used any of micromax data cards (200C, 300C, 200G 300G)?

If yes, with which service provider? Do these cards have any kind of
"carrier-lock"?

try these things
go to synaptic package manager-settings-repository
check all boxes from "Downloadable from internet"
Download from "main server'
go to "other software" tab
click all checkboxes
go to "updates"-release update-
select "normal updates"
close the window
click on reload
