Generally Fedora does not pick up Broadcom NIC you need to manually
install the drivers, they are mostly available on the website.

license, escape route change/shift to *nix, and we can guide them how
to do the needful. Give them initial training and guide them as and
when required.

Interesting post-mortem!!
In short, I wouldn't recommend it. You can learn
development on your x86 PC, and yes, it can't be done
in 3 months.
Could you recommend some reads or links where one can follow up on the same.
