Surly friends OpenSource is currently in demand
but most of the industry in and around Surat is not using it.
Like "L&T", "RIL", "Essar" are on M$ while
"Torrent power" is on Unix. (I am yet to see an Enterprise
on OpenSource I hardly found a user)
I found 2 Linux users in Surat both are students.

it was not supporting the propreitory formats like mp3.
Also I had an issue with the RPM manager which did not
start without internet connection. (rpm command from
commandline would always work but I am comfortable using
the GUI)

Finally cracked . . . !
The good news on this subject is that while I was using
Damn Small Linux on my PI. I thought of installing it
on the HDD in place of always using it form the CD.
I did the same and you know what ? One can select
LILO or GRUB as your bootloader during install
I had bought a DVD from http://www.aadima.com at Rs200/- and its working fine.
It does not support the propritory formats (like mp3) out of the box. Also
its rpm manager (the package installer) does not work if you
are not connected with internet.

quite a few things do work. While my CAD file viewer
is not working.
The application is loaded well while opening the file
it goes into debug mode.
