Let me answer Yagnesh's point... Yes, the penetration of platforms like linux is still quite limited, and it has a lot to do with the availability of knowledge around you. Every hardware fellow knows how to install windows but does not have linux knowledge. I've been encouraging hardware vendors

Surly friends OpenSource is currently in demand but most of the industry in and around Surat is not using it. Like "L&T", "RIL", "Essar" are on M$ while "Torrent power" is on Unix. (I am yet to see an Enterprise on OpenSource I hardly found a user) I found 2 Linux users in Surat both are students.

Just to support the fact that open source expertise is certainly in demand! Cost-saving is one thing.. the inherent robustness of many tools and the adherance to latest standards is another bigger appeal. We companies woo our customers on the basis of all these factors... and guess what expertise
