I thought the username was something like [EMAIL PROTECTED] That's what I
use in my dad's office.

Last night it worked I was using [EMAIL PROTECTED] which it was not
accepting. It accepts only username. The configuration was always done using
pppoeconf.

Anybody guide troubleshooting adsl connectivity to bsnl using dsl-modem.
How did you configure adsl? Try pppoeconf to configure the connection.
error show waiting for Pxxx in error and plog shows CHAP authentication failed
Have you checked the password? I'm not sure BSNL uses CHAP at
