It doesn't seem to be related to SlimScrobbler -- I get the same
behavior w/last.fm plugin after removing the updated SlimScrobbler. I
suspect a change was made in 6.5trunk over the past day or so that
broke last.fm.

I have the SlimScrobbler and LastFM plugins installed on an OS X 10.3.9.
I put things in /Library (NOT ~/Library)
/PreferencePanes/SlimServer.prefPane/Contents/server/Plugins
In short, I opened the actual preference pane and put the plugins down
in the plugin folder associated with the actual Sli

Hmmm. It's not working for me.
I too got the latest download (LastFM122.zip). I unzipped it in Plugins

This is RealAudio specific. RTSP URLS can have a start and end

Yep I agree - documentation is always the last thing to get done. I was

A comment: it's not obvious how to download the CVS version. I've used

This is a bit off-topic for a Squeezebox group, but here goes anyway..
Is there any way of telling mplayer to play a stream for a limited

I've obtained the latest CVS version and all looks well with a recent
6.5b1 nightly. I'm using Gentoo (x86) with ADSL and 'submit

In a separate thread a ianmoore has created a modified socketwrapper
which worked even with IMsecure installed. Try it and report back.

Erland, could you please give this version a try before I make it 2.30?
I removed your code and added a line to clear the cache whenever the
screensaver mode is entered.
I have tested it and it works correct.
Thanks. v2.30 is now available from http://www.herger.net/MusicInfoSCR

Well I'm still trying to get LastFM/SlimScrobbler to work properly on my
system (MAC OSX 10.4.5 with Slimserver 6.2.1)
LastFM seems to install ok and I get the LastFM settings on the
Slimserver browser interface at Home / Server Settings / Internet
Radio.
However the SlimScrobbler plugin doesn't
Thanks for reporting the problem.
I was not able to reproduce this myself, but I think I found something
that could cause it. There is a new version of TrackStat available on
my download page that I hope should solve this. If the problem is
reproducable at your end I would appreciate if you could
I got the same problem with Zone Alarm Security Suite (ZASS!). I have
been quite happy with ZASS, until I installed AlienBBC to listen to the
BBC World Service, and I had the same symptoms as the other ZASS users.
I played with the Socketwrapper code to discover that ZASS screws up

Malcolm,
I follow the SlimServer svn trunk and I just updated SlimScrobbler from
the CVS repository. For the first time in a long time my played tracks
are submitted to the last.fm page! Previously I could get last.fm
stream submissions to work but not local tracks.
Thanks for the updated code
Short story: I'm having problems running the NetFlix plugin.
Long story:
I put NetFlix.pm in my Server/plugins directory and restarted the
server (even though server settings are set to "on the fly") with no
luck. A lot of the other plugins have subdirectories under

Hi All,
I've been working on the SlimScrobbler plugin and implementing changes
as needede to keep it working with 6.5b1. I am aware however that I use
this plugin in a fairly limited way (ie broadband only, no dial up, no
multi-user account etc).
I am also not sure who else is actually using Sli
Works great with my SB1, very cool many, many thanks. One thing -I

genres just comes up blank. Hmm, now how do I talk my wife into letting
me buy two new SB3's!
Very Cool - Thanks,
