Having checked the SlimServer code, the iTunesUpdate dir should work if
it's in one of these places:
1) $ENV{'HOME'}/Library/SlimDevices/Plugins (I guess that's
~?)
2) /Library/SlimDevices/Plugins
3) /Plugins

It's a mystery to me!
After the similar problems with the Scrobbler plugin I was thinking
that it's the use of perl FindBin module to specify other module
locations, but then I noticed I don't use that any more!
I'd really like to see the SlimServer output from startup with the

James, I don't know if this plugin (the latest) works for anyone else
with a Mac or if I am just lame but I can't get it to work. The main
problem is I can't even see the plugin.
I am using Safari, 10.4.6, slimserver 6.51 with a SB1 and just put the
plugins in user/library/slimserver/plugins (I

Yep, the binary I built for mac which is linked there was built on a

My guess is that the newer verison of mplayer has been built to run on
G4.
To get something working you should revert to your orginal version of
mplayer and sort out the missing codec problem. I do not have an OSX

When editing mplayer.sh, DO NOT use TextEdit.
You need an editor that can use Unix line endings (which are different
from Mac line endings). You can do the editing in the Terminal if you
are used to Unix, or use Tex-Edit Plus or TextWrangler (both easily

Hi everybody
Thanks in advance for any help that you might offer.
I have been trying to install alien BBC on Mac OS X 10.4.6 running slim
server 6.2.2 (09/04/06 nightly) to play on my squeezebox 3 wireless
without too much luck. I seem to have the plugin available on the
squeezebox and the stati

Ah, yes, you're quite right. It's harmless and it'll be fixed for the

Thanks for trying to help guys; Most of what you're saying I was
already doing though. I did however in desperation restart slimserver
with the --d_plugins option, (rather than toggling the same flag on
from within the slimserver GUI and rescanning the plugins, which was
what I was doing before
Many thanks for the hint
