I am having problems getting Slimremote to work. At first run of the
app, when i entered the IP address for my Slimserver nothing happened
when i pressed ok (i guess it could not find it).
After a couple of port number changes to see if that helped, i got
passed that screen. However, it just gave
The clip info in ther stream is as follows:
name: The Storm
author: GWR Digital
copyright: GWR Group PLC
GWR seems to run a lot of independent stations (see AlienBBC GWR menu)
so perhaps TheStorm was an early name or code name for the station.

Got it working!
Only had to reinstall my 6.5b1 (15-03-2006) and 1.01 of AlienBBC.

I know how to create the m3u playlist etc, but how do I find out the
url for the radio stream at the above websit
1. Stop slimserver from systrap
2. Open a command prompt window (i.e. c:/> )
3. cd to the slimserver "server" directory - this is the directory
with slim.exe in it.
4. type the following command
slim.exe --d_plugins
5. messages will scroll up - usually as each plugin is loaded - look
for error
I'll give that a go. I've never done it from a cmd prompt before.
Can you tell me what to type?

Current 6.5 nightly apparently is not stable so I think you should hold
off.
To be more certain of your problem - start slimserver with d_plugins
from a command prompt. That way you'll know the problem for certain.

A new version (1.2.1) of the DynamicPlayList plugin is now available,
there is no new functionallity just some error corrections:
- Playlists with an id ending with a number can now be disabled (This
is the case for some of the playlists from TrackStat)

A few weeks ago there was a significant change in 6.5 which broke
AlienBBC 1.01 - 1.03 was created to support this newer version of 6.5.
You could try installing AlienBBC 1.01 and see if it works.

I note in the SVN archives that there is a revision to select audio
output device. This addition was made /AFTER/ the latest binary release
on sourceforge.

Are you sure that you installed the version for 6.5 and not 6.2.x ?
Check the file name of the .exe file you downloaded ?
Is the version of 6.5. installed recent ?
Try starting slimserver in a command prompt window with the d_plugins
option and look at the log to see if there any error message
No idea whether its relevant to your problem, but the current 6.5 is
said to be "unstable" and probably not suitable for real use just at
the moment...

Yesterday I upgraded to 6.5 (2006-05-27) to fix a problem with LMA. Now,
it seems the RSS Newsticker Plugin on the SB3 doesn't show up anymore.
The web interface shows the plugin box is clicked; the SB3 remote menu
("Settings -> Information -> Plugin Modules -> RSS Newsticker") seems to

Moose 0.32 crashes for me when the computer wakes up from hibernate. The
computer is a laptop connected using wireless network so it might have
something to do with the fact that the network connection is
temporarily lost during the hibernate.

Hi All
I've just used the windows installer to install AlienBBC, and all seems
to go to plan, until I try to find the plugin on slimserver.
I can't find it on the squeezebox either.
Any ideas?
