Ya Michael, I'm getting nothing.
Peter Gabriel is playing, I go to the SlimServer main menu, and click
"Biography".
The error "Information could not be collected. There might be a network
problem. Please try again!" immediately shows.
Have they locked out SlimServer requests?
Yet, if I click t
Greetings all!,
I report success. Using the procedure given above and creating a
"slim" version of perl and further modifying slimserver.pl to use that
instead(by changing the first line of the file to show
#!/usr/bin/perl.ppc -w), I am able to run Slimserver along with
iTunesupdate just fine.
BTW The party shuffle slider is actually for the chance of getting
multiple songs by the same artist in a row.
'Play higher rated songs more often' is either off or on.
There are some papers on the net that discuss the weighting algorithm
behind it, if you really want to know!

I'm running the latest SlimRemote on my Handheld IPAQ (V1.0) and
running V 6.2.2 of SlimServer on my XP PC.
I think I was wrong with the requirement of 6.5 on the server side. 6.2
should do. I'm sorry for the confusion.
Again, on my PC it appears that the Plugin has installed correctly,

Thanx for getting back to me so quickly Michael.
Hopefully, with your guidance I can get the Biography ONLY plug-in

Michael/Folks, I’ve been using Michaels SlimRemote application with
great success on my HP IPAQ.
Using the handheld skin, I assume?
So….I followed the posted instructions and have successfully installed
the Biography plug-in (see it in my SlimServer drop down), but frankly

Thanks Erland - that's a very elegant solution.
That's pretty much what iTunes does except it can tune the 90/10 split
using a slider.
Much appreciated.

Considering I find iTunesupdate to be quite a neat plugin and my need to
get it working in the x86 based Mac OS X, I dug around a bit more on
getting Mac::AppleScript to compile. Any body else with any thoughts
please chime in.
I found a user post a similar question in the Apple forums and here

Do you know if these are the versions I should be using with the latest
trunk?
No, they're still for the 6.3. Though they should work with the trunk,
too. A special (enhanced) build for 6.5 will be available as soon as 6.5
is getting closer to a stable state. The trunk is still very experime

Hallo zusammen,
habe mich ein wenig daran versucht ein Plugin zu programmieren.
Leider scheitere ich schon daran die korrekten Daten per
HTTP Request zu holen.
Der Code schaut folgendermaßen aus:
my $url = 'http://www.anypage.com';
my $content = get $url;
my $p = HTML::Parser->new();
