Here's a new version of PlaylistMan - a plugin that makes playlist management a
little easier.
http://www.hergest.demon.co.uk/Music/slim/PlaylistManPlugin.htm
I'm releasing this now, as the previous version doesn't work with slimserver
v6.5, and it looks like 6.5 is nearing an official release.
Thanks James, that was the problem. I grabbed the latest from your
website and that fixed it. I was using a version packaged with the
latest Scrobbler that someone linked to on this forum, so that must
have been using an older version of the LastFM plugin. Thanks for the
help.

I fixed this some time ago - do you have the latest version of the
plugin?

For some reason I can't set the password for my lastfm account. The
textbox is gone from the web interface (see attached image). Anyone
else have this problem with the 8/31/06 6.5b1 build of slimserver?

Sure thing. If you are on a Windows box, you can use the Task
Scheduler (in Start-]Accessories-]System Tools) to create a series of
tasks that will run every night (or however often you want to rescan
your library). If

I've put together a Magnatune plugin for SlimServer. It will let you
browse the Magnatune catalogue and play previews through your

cparker, thank you for the advice! I actually proposed this solution
myself over at the Music IP forums a while back:

and today (thanks to the rain) I finally put it into place, and it
works like a charm!
Thanks again for the post.

Alien is specifically designed to not work with external players using
the stream.mp3 url. Does it work with softsqueeze or a squeezebox?

yes it would be shuffled by album. This should be an easy code change.
The webpage UI would need to have the option inserted. I wasn't sure
how many people actually were using it other than myself.

The Bandwidth option is purely an Mplayer option (and in this context
only RealAUdio) nothing to do with Slimserver. It implements what is
known as RealPlayer's TurboPlay.
This feature means that for non-live stream, data is sent as fast as
possible to the player to enable playing to start as so
