I think it may be time for someone who is more knowledgable to look at
my AlienBBC instructions, and add details about the versions of mplayer
needed for different Macs, 10.3, 10.4 on PowerMacs, 10.4 on Intel Macs.
I only mentioned the version for 10.4 on PowerMacs.

I've been testing AutoDisplay and I've got it half working...
I set the off time to brightness 2. Before off time I have the
brightness at 4. The off time comes and the brightness is at 2, which
is great. The on time comes and the brightness doesn't go back to 4.
Am I missing something?

I have been able to get the MyPicks Plugin to work on both of my windows
machines and also a Mac (OSX) but can not seem to get it to work on my
Linux Machine.
The problem occurs when i bring up the slimserver web interface. i can
see the Internet Radio/MyPicks link and the Plugins/MyPicks OPML Ed
Other users were in the same situation and built their version even
though they felt they were not able. See these threads

So you could PM user js85 or whitman and see if they can help.

AlienBBC has very little to do with the database so I think you have a
2nd error or just the clean up after a fatal crash.
Can you post a more complete log from the point you select a BBC
station with the debug option I suggested. Copy the log to a text file,
zip it up and attach to a post.

Hi everybody in this great forum,

oh dear. That sounds like it might be a bit complicated.
Does anyone have one of these all singing, all dancing mplayers for

No need to try the test - with OSX 10.3.x you need a special build of
mplayer. Usually the user ends up having to build it themselves.

I've got this working nicely on my "test system". My "production"
system is significantly larger and the scanning takes proportionately
longer, however, does not seem to populate said tables with the STYLE,
MOOD & THEME attributes.
I have checked plugin settings on both test and prod - they are
You could have installed an incompatible version of mplayer. This is a
particular problem with OSX.
Did the standalone test work ?
What type of mac (e.g. G3, G4, G5, Intel) and version of OSX are you
using ?
What version of mplayer have you installed and where did you get it ?
