The "CMD Window" is START>RUN>CMD
When I get the command window open I type in:
wavin2cmd.exe -w -o wavin:0
I get the same thing as the last time.
I have also tried:
wavin2cmd.exe -l
and I get the same thing.
Yes, my default wavin2cmd.exe location is:
C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Bin\MSWin
If you search these forums, I believe someone built an AC relay that is
controlled by infrared. Combine that with good IR blaster transceiver
placement (and/or a multi-head IR blaster transceiver?) and you could
just use the IRBlaster plugin to do what you want.
Or you could use BottleRocket with

What is the "CMD window" because I think it is the same as Command
Prompt window. It should be a command line window usually with a "C:\>"
prompt.
If so then Step 3 is a command to change directory to where
wavin2cmd.exe is saved. On a Slimserver 6.5 default this would be
cd \Program Files\Slim
Don't try the "wavin2cmd -o" command - my recollection is wrong and this
hangs the PC.
I'll need to try a few options to check the right command to test.

This is wrong - folder should just be called SqueezeScrobbler. Probably
causes the missing strings...

I guess we could make it optional but I still think we should try to
convince SD to make this part of the startard release.

I wanted to post this, because I haven't seen many thank-you posts on

I finally got my slimserver working on suse linux last weekend, and
today got AlienBBC working. Many thanks for a great plugin. It was even

Hello dma
Sorry, but current firmware does not support this.
The PowerSwitch II plugin takes advantage of a special mode in the
IRBlaster firmware code that allows to turn the output on without
applying the carrier frequency normally used for ir commands.

It is not clear whether you read the readme.txt files - it is in both
zip files v 1.01 and v1.02
Also this wavinput only works on some versions of Windows - XP works
but I think Vista doesn't.

Thanks vrobin. Appreciate your message.
Hmm.ok. I notice that you are on UNIX. I'm Windows. I understand
this plug is platform independentjust thinking out loud.
I have under extras:
Last.fm Audioscrobbler

Do you?
The new 7.0 SC was installed to a new parent
I think I have the same as you:
unzip -t /tmp/SqueezeScrobbler_V1.0.6.zip
Archive: /tmp/SqueezeScrobbler_V1.0.6.zip

It turned out to be something pretty trivial - can you try 3.0b5?

Thanks for spotting it,

alright. I went and reinstalled everything and have gotten further but

Hi there,
The latest status if that I've upgraded to:
SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 14805 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252
I reinstalled Alien BBC which I also luv. Then I reinstalled the

Ah, it's the extra directories - you shouldn't have the
LastFM213/SlimScrobbler0372 level.
e.g. the LastFM directory should be directly in the plugins directory.

It's called readme.txt and it is in the wavinput zip file - top level.

I am going to try what has been suggested re multi library and custom

Yes, Plugin.pm is present in:
C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Plugins\LastFM213\LastFM
A file of the same name is also in:
C:\Program

I tried downloading the zip files and reinstalling but nothing
changed.

I would like to use my squeezebox 3 to turn on/off my entire stereo (to

If there's no mention of LastFM at all, it's probably not installed
correctly.
In your SlimServer installation directory you should have directories
server/plugins/LastFM, and in LastFM there should be a Plugin.pm file?

Hi James,
Thanks for replying. A search of my pc doesn't find slimserver.exe!
There is slimtray.exe and slim.exe. Running the latter with the debug
flags produces quite a lot of text which mentions various plugins but
not LastFM.
Is there anything in particular I should look out for?
Peter

Yes, I am using what I believe the latest version of Lazy Search
(v3.0b4), the first line in the file INSTALL is:
"# $Id: INSTALL 298 2007-09-29 11:50:19Z stuarth $."
I also use the debian unstable version of SC.

Yes, I think I've seen this to. Can you confirm you're using the latest
plugin and a recent SC7.0 nightly?
I'll take a look and see what I can find out - I should be able to track
it down.

Hi Peter,
the best thing to do is to stop SlimServer, then run slimserver.exe
from a command prompt, with the debug flags:
--d_startup --d_plugins
Then see if there are any references to the plugins in the output.

I have a small problem with Lazy Search. If I do a song search using the
latest Lazy Search and the latest build of SC7, getting some results, I
can't press right to access the information about a particular song.
This used to work in previous releases.
An example: I press search, and then search
Your problem is probably due to the Windows Sounds and mixer setup.
IIRC I think there is a readme about what has to be done.

I initially solved that problem by tagging all digital music with a "Surround

tracks with that genre.
