mplayer.sh lives (or used to live, in SlimServer 6.5.x) in a folder
named bin inside the SlimDevices folder in the Library. My
installation is for one user only, so I am referring to ~/Library. I
expect the relevant Library is /Library if installed for all users.

Good idea, this should work good enough.
Anyone up for the challenge to experiment with this ?Yeah, me, but not now as

D'oh! I certainly uploaded something but I failed to notice it hadn't
actually been attached to the post. (It was pretty late last night).
Here it is. In the middle of the file there is a line with Using
command for conversion that invokes mplayer.sh.

Downloaded Trackstat 2.0 Beta04 plugin and SC nightly build (20

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I couldn't find it via the
search...
Has this been implemented or is it a tricky one/low on the priority
list?
As you can tell its a vote from me for this also :)

The AlienBBC for TS-109 was created by Progressive so it may have some
custom changes to suit the QNAP - all I can offer is advice on a
standard installation.
Since the RTSP entries in Server Settings/Filetypes are enabled - it
means that Slimserver has found the mplayer.sh file and a flac
Thanks for replying.
I am using an SB1.
also I just installed Squeezecenter on a WHS machine and am currently
trying to get this to work.
For some reason the Sirius (and super date/time) plugins are in extras
instead of advanced and don't show up as choosable in the menus nor can
is there a

I'm new at this so please give me a little time to adjust to this forum.
I recently puchased a Squeezebox and I want to initiate the Sirus
plug-in for the device so that I may use it with my home stereo system.
I have downloaded the program, but the directions say to unzip in the

Hello,
After successfully providing up-to-date feeds for the Reciva-based
internet radios, I'd now like to try comprehensive testing of feeds for
Slimserver/MyPicks.
If you use Slimserver with a Squeezebox and would like to try out the
feeds, please email me at www.radiofeeds.co.uk/form.html
I want to use AlienBBC to play .ra files that I have downloaded from the
BBC website.
I've got everything set up and working fine (full details below), and I
can listen to streams from BBC radio through my Squeezebox. However,
when I try to play one of my .ra files, no sound comes out at all,
Enable debugging for d_source and then get a log of trying to play one
of the ra files.

Cool. I found the missing directory and copied mplayer.sh into it.
Success.
Now the only thing I gave missing is the ALien BBC icon in the Internet
Radio selection from the home folder in squeezecenter ? Any ideas on
that one ?

Have you restarted SqueezeCenter ?
If that doesn't help, try removing the old

It hasn't been implemented, but thanks for reminding me.
In comparison to all the other things I like to do this has pretty low
priority for me, so it will probably not be implemented by me in the

I assume you talk about hardisk standby: the harddisks seem to spin
down more reliably using SSODS 3.x and Squeezecentre 7.0.
There are a couple of other threads addressing this never-ending story

Here are some excerpts from the log file, with d_source enabled as you
suggested (I've trimmed off the lines produced by SlimServer starting
up):
Code:
2007-12-20 17:59:43.2110 Adding song index 0 to song queue
2007-12-20 17:59:43.2111 Clearing out song
I'm not sure this is going to work on windows for local files.
The problem is that on windows we assume the use of the socketwrapper
helper application which is used for remote streaming to get the data
out of mplayer.

Was not entirely sure why the Alien png graphic needed to be 314 pixels

guess it
has something to do with resizing for all the different platforms and

I've just posted v2.4.3 of iTunesUpdate at

This version is *required* for SlimServer 7.0 as of 19th December 2007,

If you have an older version installed but a new build of

I installed Moose 0.62 on my PC today, and tried it for a while. Works
great! I notice that some use this on their Nokia N800. Will it work on

Is there a way to do keyword searching from the SqueezeBox remote (ala
Lazy Search plugin) but with normal (non-predictive) text input?
I've installed Lazy Search, and the keyword searching is great, but I
prefer the normal input method used by the build-in Search menu.
Thank you.
