Solution 1.
Change the name *before* putting the file into /usr/local/bin (you
don't want to change the name of the original file, so copy it to the
desktop, change its name, and then move it into /usr/local/bin).
Solution 2.
This is one of the places where what is happening is a Unix issue,
There is supposed to be an icon.
I know you use a mac.
Try deleting (or moving) server.prefs (look in
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/SqueezeCenter/).

Steve,
Does look to be a file permissions/path problem.
mplayer.sh assumes the shell it is executed can reach the mplayer
executable from its path. There is an override which was put in for
some platforms where this was not true - it does check /usr/local/bin
for mplayer and uses this if so.
S
It looks like mplayer is not on the path.
Is mplayer on the path ?

Thanks for the suggestions, bpa. In order:
1. I've checked that mplayer.sh is executable. It has permissions of
755.
2. After using chroot to move into the slimserver system, navigating to
/opt/mplayer/bin, mplayer comes up with the help text if I execute
./mplayer from the shell.
3. I disabled R
Been doing the exact same.
The easiest way is to have a version of mplayer (or some other similar
app such as ffmpeg or VLC) which outputs to stdout.

Yes - I suspect there will be a region of 6.5 when it worked as all
windows processing used socketwrapper. We would need to look at how to
fool slimserver into thinking its a remote stream now - need to look at
the code to see if this is possible from Alien.

Yes that would probably be it.
I have to say I've not found much use for the .ra files elsewhere and
have had to convert them to mp3 so I will stick to that for now.

There were changes to socketwrapper in 6.5.4.
Is it possible that it worked before 6.5.4 ?

Mine did work when I did the configuration you referred to but now when
I try it it does not work any more.
I wonder what has changed? Some investigation required.

Hello all
Thank you all for your suggestions.
Please check out IRBlaster v5.2. I've added the code James proposed and
it works for me.
Happy holiday, Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

Is this on a standard PC or are you using some NAS hardware to run
SqueezeCenter ?

I've mentioned it before too - it's been broken for a while.
What's the best way to proceed - raise an SC bug? I wondered if it was perhaps

Hi Phil,
I've seen the second one before.
It appears to be a bug in SlimServer, which I have asked about before
I'm sure, but never got any responses.
The first one I should be able to fix, it's probably just things
happening in the wrong order.

Is there supposed to be an icon with the plugin ?
My Internet Radio section does not have an icon.

Thanks!
I have WinXP SP2 on the PC on which I installed Moose. I also have
Slimserver 6.5.0 on this PC. I also have an old PC running Clark
Connect (Redhat), and this has been my preferred PC for running
Slimserver, as it sits in the basement out of the way.

More often than not, since moving to SC7.0, I can't seem to stream LastFM
stations.
I have managed to play my neighbourhood once via the WebUI (but I notice a
couple of warnings):

Yes, should be fine.. You need to install this guy:

Look at the install.xml file in the TrackStat directory in a text
editor. Does it say beta03 or beta04 in the version element at the
bottom of the file ?
Are you sure you have installed it in the correct place ?
Are you sure SqueezeCenter has been restarted ?
You need to restart the SqueezeCente
