Because of concerns about copyright - AlienBBC will only stream over Squeezeboxes (inc. SoftSqueeze). It is a software restriction. If your friend has a Linux system with mplayer and does not have a real SB - why not browse to BBC web site and play direct from their webpage - AlienBBC takes the s

I have installed 0.64d, and it works fine on the local host. unfortunately, I need it most on my laptop. I have pointed the IP address to 192.168.1.66 but "awaiting server response" still shows at the bottom. The Player menu shows "no known players". When I start softsqueeze, it starts OK and
