c0utta, thanks for your eplain.
In your case it can be reasonable, but when I installed FreeNAS (just
to run slimserver) 2 months ago, I haven't changed anything at the
usermanagement. I reach the server on SMB with anonymous login, and I
use the web GUI with user freenas. So there can't be any
I've taken the responses as tacit approval :) and I've made the change.

whatwho,
I should explain further about my FreeNAS setup.
When I first installed FreeNAS (2006?) I created a single group called
"users". I assign all users to this group - my FreeNAS is only used by
3 people, including myself (c0utta). I did notice on the latest FreeNAS
release that there are

A beginner's question ...

James, did you see my note above reg. the installation instructions?
Ignorant as I am when it comes to CPAN, I actually wasted a few hours
not being aware of that requirement about 6 months ago.

By the way Michael, thanks for the work you did with SlimNAS
I finally got the plugin to work... Although it seems to be pretty
finicky starting the stream. Often have to play... then wait a few
secs... pause... then play to get it going.
This is w/SC7 going to a softsqueeze (until my duet arrives).
On question I had, though, is can you synch playback on

Hi Martin,
Great plugin, all up and running on SC7. One question though, the
format of time/date seems to have changed.
Is it possible to have it as;
hh:mm:ss
Like I used to have it before? The ":" seem to have disappeared out of
the selection and seconds dont seem to be there either.

Hi again,
I've now done some testing. It seems that my rated tracks in iTunes do
*NOT* show their rating in iPeng when using iTunes Update + TrackStat.
What goes wrong? The rating set using TrackStat in iPeng is transferred
to iTunes w/o problems.
Another strange detail here: The cover art

Yes, sorry, turns out that was a bug where any completely new players

This has been fixed in the 1.1.8 release.

I updated from SlimServer 6.5.4 to SC7 and now SDT doesn't work quite
