I think it might be fixed in the next Custom Browse release which
should be released sometime in the next days or week.

I'm pretty sure the Term message may be coming from mplayer and can be
ignored.
More logging info will help.
Can you change the mplayer options in custom-convert.conf from
"--really-quiet" to "--quiet"

While playing tracks in SoftSqueeze, everytime I click the windows start

Also, even when I'm not at the computer SoftSqueeze will do the same.
This has only starting happening since I started running SqueezeCenter

AlienBBC should be using the Flac option by default. Check the RTSP
settings under Settings/Advanced/Filetypes

Here is the excerpt from the log file, I think. Since it states that
there is a missing file perhaps it is related to the instantSC
install.

Why is AlienBBC using lame ? Have you disabled RTSP->Flac ?
Make sure AlienBBC works with Flac first.

That's a Windows/NAS problem not an AlienBBC problem.
However it sounds like the permission on the NAS are not being changed
- check the NAS configuration and check the permissions on the NAS not
on Windows.

everything is working. Before it just didn't work good on my laptop so

Still the same.
And I'm willing to believe it's a permissions issue, because although
the network share on the NAS is set to Everyone/Full Access, Windows
shows the Properties as Read-only. If I uncheck Read-Only and Apply, it
dutifully seems to go through every directory and file - but then when
Try the "reset menu" (I think) in the AlienBBC Settings. It will
re-write alienbbc.opml.
If there is still an error - then there is still a permissions issue.

Hmm ...
I have the same issue:
There was an error loading the remote feed for Alien BBC: (Unable to
open file '\\NAS2165\Qmultimedia\Music\alienbbc.opml')
And I saw the same read-only permissions level, (although the share is
set to Everyone/Full Access), so I removed the read-only flag for all
I just bought the duet also and installed the 2.0 XM plug in. After
some fiddling it does show up on my controller, but only if I ad XM
stations to my favorites or playlists. It even displays "XM" logo on
the controller. I'm not sure what I might have done different, but I'd
be glad to retrace
I've just knocked up a new plugin, based on Michael Herger's FileViewer plugin.
I've called it SongFileViewer. It is used to display the content of files that
are found within the local folder (and any sub-folders) where the currently
playing track is located.
It can therefore be used to displ

Work around FreeNAS inability to follow symlinks. I was using them in earlier
versions of SlimNAS. But then the web server's configuration was changed to no
longer follow symlinks. A
He you did a great job at this!

the songs who doesn't already have a cover) in an extra folder so that
