I'm thinking of attempting to use your fine plug-ins but wondering if
they are any harder to use than setting up musicip headless. I'd like
to use trackstats and custombrowse. My tags are in a real good state
right now at least as far as I can tell.(can you really ever know?) I'm
using 7.1 on xp
I am having the same problem with using Custom Scan to export my
Trackstat ratings into MusicIP. I can access my MusicIP headless html
page at "192.168.0.2:10002", no problems. The debug error log is as
follows:

They are general AlienBBC issues but not related to AlienBBC 2.01 beta
and any bugs in it which is the subject of this thread. It is easier to
follow problems in the beta if the thread only contains relevant issues.
There are two other AlienBBC / iPlayer threads already open.

How do you like to divide the library ?
Do you have a top level folder for each SqueezeBox or do you want to
use some other way to determine which music files that should be shown
on each SqueezeBox ?
I don't think there is a solution for browsing, but for playing you
should be able to use the C
Working fine for me. I'm listening now. Double check the install.xml I
have my max set at 7.1+ I guess make sure it's the 2.0 version and in
the right folder. I'm sure that's probably right as you had it working
in 7.01 but worth checking.

No, they don't implement the Music Folder browsing method.

Ok thanks. Is there any other way of "segregating" music on the same
server between two different Squeezeboxes? While being able to browse
at Music Folder level? Or do I just need to suck it up and use the
Artists method? ;)

Is there any way of setting these up so that instead of having to browse
by Album or Artist, it can browse "music folders" with filtering, or
not?

I tried changing the XML file and it still doesn't work. It's
recognized as a plug but it won't stream anything from XM.

These comments should really be in a separate thread as the purpose of
AlienBBC is
1. RealAudio support
2. Analyse menus to provide access to Listen Again.
New higher bitrate are not RealAudio and they are not available in
Listen Again.
In theory get the URL for the new high bit rate streams
Compared to what we have, the bitrates available are enormously better.
If we can get this on a Squeezebox, I'll probably be able to sell my
digital radio. It's enormously encouraging and terrific news for all
of us.

I run squeezecenter 7.0.1 on Linux (CentOS). I have installed the
IRBlaster plugin and configured it to control the volume and power of
my NAD C315BEE receiver. It works fanstastically via the web interface,
and via the original remote control of my SqueezeBox3.
But when I try to change the volum
Hi,
I have disabled direct update and would now like to process the
iTunesUpdate_hist.txt use file. But I guess I do need to install perl
first before running the script. I'm totally ignorant about perl, could
someone give me a hunt how to get started. Which perl to install? How to
run?
thanks!
I would like to bump this, as I have the exact same questions.
There's a "heart" icon in Dynamic pl, but if I add the playlist to
favorites with this, it dosen't behave like a Dynamic pl, when selected
from favorites afterward. It only plays 8 songs and then stops.
