Yes I think that you are right. While the AlienBBC menu shows Radio4,
the material is historical and not current. This means that I can play
recorded material but not real time.

Since you are not using an AlienBBC menu - then it is probably a WMA
stream which will not play unless you are in the UK.

Transporter handles brightness.
Whenever I play a track I have the Brightness set to go to Level 3

FYI: Michael just check in a re-vamped PreventStandby plugin into the
SqueezeCenter 7.4 code in r25127. When 7.4 (or 8) is released, any
need for ReallyPreventStandby should go away. Don't forget to
uninstall this plugin when you upgrade to 7.4.

It seems that squeezecenter runs stable now - it's up and running - and
stays there - but still there is no songs..
The scanner.log and perfmon.log - are both empty and at 0.0kb.
By the way.. I chmodded everything in the music-folder, to 777.. That
helped.. It now discovers my music-files..

values that I can tweak in the convert file (or mplayer) to test

There is no change in the AlienBBC processing of WMA streams - the
change must be elsewhere in SC - perhaps in handling metadata.

Not sure about Sirius, but the Napster processing is not designed to
work with external transcoding - this will never work with SB1 given
the current implementation.

It seems to be totally random. I tried a similar artist and it didn't
work. Two hours later the Duet bursts into song as the station suddenly
starts to play. I have had similar results with varing times before they
start with other artists; including multi-word artist names.
