[SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlist/Random Locks Player and Server

I've been running into an issue for a while now with the Dynamic Playlist plugin when playing random songs. The playlist works fine unless/until I press any button (pause, skip, etc.) on the remote. When I do this the player immediately locks up and becomes unresponsive to any further remote key

BTW - wavin2cmd parses the string wavin:xxx. The string xxx is parsed as an integer. If parsed value is invalid (e.g. non numeric) , I think a value of 0 is used. If the value is is outside the number of devices (i.e. 1,2,3 or 4 on your system) I think a value of 0 is used. -- bpa

So this looks to be a feature of MusicInfoSCR as its this which defines SONGTIME and uses the server cache mechanism for it. All other duration mechanisms don't cache the duration in the same way. -- Triode Triode's Profi

I suspect the SONGTIME issue is a caching one - we start to play the stream but don't know its length for a fraction of a second until it actually starts playing. Will have a look, but I'll release this version if I do not spot it soon as it looks to have fixed the main problem. -- Triode
