I proudly present: applet can now be registered in SqueezeCenter and
easily downloaded by the Controller (Ever wondered what this menu
'settings->advanced->applet installer' was for ? Now you know).
No WinSCP-install needed

Yup, it needs an icon on the Controller.

They are separate entries in the bbc xml feed and the default
configuration of iplayer filters out the duplicats which are lw. If you
want separate listings, then you can edit the menu.opml file to have the
following in place of the current radio 4 entry. Let me know what
people think of this, s

Well, it works with SC 7.4 as long as your library
I'd really like to use the applet with my Yamaha receiver, but I just
don't get it to work.
Searched the web like hell for the correct (NEC)-codes, tried out >20 I
found, even generated buttons for the first 100 commands with device-id
122 - and none showed any response from the receiver.

I'll add it to the list, but I can't promise it will be added anytime
soon.
However, if you don't want to wait
Hi Sue, Glad you are enjoying it. I'm still running 7.3 at the moment
which as its stable I'm not planning on upgrading for the moment, so
good to know 7.4 is ok without me having to update anything! :)
Cheers

I'm using v0.9a. Not a problem, as I don't ever listen to R4 LW.

Thanks! I can now listen to 'Book of the Week'.
The (few) LW programmes don't play (no URL in SqueezeCenter). Examples
are: Shipping Forecast, Act of Worship and Daily Service. Is that easily
fixable?

On BBC iPlayer there is a separate link (in small letters) to link to
Radio 4 LW programs. So the main page has the FM programs but the LW
programs are listed separately.
On the Plugin all the BBC Radio 4 programs both FM and LW are sent by
BBC in one XML list and I think the plugin creates the d
I've just upgraded the BBC iPlayer plugin to v0.9a; but still don't get
Book of the Week listed at 09:45 on Monday 31st Aug.
The 'Daily Service' is listed at that time, but *doesn't* play (no
'connecting' or 'buffering'). The (FM) programmes before and after do
play ok.

An example of the programmes is:
Monday 31st Aug
09:45am Book of the Week - Newton And The Counterfeiter (FM only)
09:45am The Daily Service (LW only)

If you are in the UK, Triode has made a version 0.9a which if the AAC
filetypes are disabled then the MP3 streams (which are UK only IIRC)
will be used. If you are trying this then undo the bit rate limiting
stuff.
I think this may be the better solution if you are in the UK.

Well, it made a slight difference but still wouldn't play the stream.
I had it set at 64k and quality 6.
Ordinary music plays OK but takes a long time to start.
Can you provide specific details of the programme so they can be
checked,

I installed this yesterday (7.3.4) It works brilliantly. My only grief
is the tedious manual installation.

Is this applet an embarrassment to Logitech? Yes, they are busy rolling

Hi,
At 09:45 on weekdays BBC radio 4 broadcasts two different programmes in
parallel: one on FM only, the other on LW only. My iPlayer plugin sees
just the LW programme; the BBC website's iPlayer offers only the FM
programme. What's up??
